Isa Appears to the Disciples

This story is originally found in The Holy Injil, in the book of Luke, Surah 24 Ayat 35 through 49. Included below is the original text in Greek, followed by a modern English translation.

35 Then the two explained what happened on the road and how they recognized Isa when he broke the bread. 36 And just as they were talking about it, Isa himself appeared, standing among them. “Peace to you!” he said. 37 They were startled and afraid, thinking it was a ghost.
38 But he said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why are your hearts filled with doubt? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It’s me! Touch me. See—ghosts don’t have flesh and bones like I do!” 40 As he spoke, he showed them his hands and feet.
41 While they were still in disbelief from joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 So they gave him a piece of broiled fish. 43 And as they watched, he took it and ate it.
44 Then he said to them, “I told you this before when I was with you—that everything written about me in the law of Musa, the Prophets, and the Zabur must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 He said, “This was written—that the Messiah would suffer and die, and return to life from death on the third day 47 —and that forgiveness of sins for all who repent should be proclaimed in his name to all peoples, beginning in al-Quds. 48 You are witnesses of these things.
49 “And listen, I will send to you what my Father promised. So stay in the city until you are clothed with power from Heaven.”
