50 There was a good and upright man named Yusuf. Though a member of the high council, 51 he was not in agreement with its decision or actions. He lived in the Judean town of Arimathea, and looked forward to the kingdom of Allah. 52 And so, he went to Pilate and claimed Isa’s body. 53 Then he took it down from the cross, wrapped it in linen cloth, and laid it in a tomb which had never been used, cut out of rock. 54 It was late Friday, Preparation Day, and the Day of Rest was about to start.m
55 The women who had come with Isa from Galilee followed behind and watched as his body was placed in the tomb. 56 Then they left and prepared burial spices and perfumes. And when the Day of Rest started they rested, in keeping with the commandment.
